The 2017 Honda Ridgeline represents the second generation of this truck, and it replaces the famous first generation model which lasted from 2006 till 2014. The new Ridgeline features a lot of elements from Honda’s Global Light Truck Platform and Honda’s next-generation of ACE body structure.
2017 Honda Ridgeline Redesign Changes
The design of the Honda Ridgeline 2017 is in many ways different than the previous model, and it is obvious that resembles the Pilot in a lot of elements. Although the both models share some elements, both have signatures of their own and can’t be mistaken one for another.
One of the highlights of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline design is a massive, rectangular lower fascia, with built in fog lights, turns signals and air intake. Above it is a chrome accented grille, while on the sides are projector beam headlights and LED daytime running lights.
Around back is dual action tailgate (which is not exactly a masterpiece of design) – it can be lowered down or swinged to the side.
2017 Honda Ridgeline Interior
The dashboard of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is one of the elements that is almost identical to the Pilot. Well, it would be fair to say to the Ridgeline 2017 interior is almost exactly the same as the interior of the 2016 Pilot.
The steering wheel is packed with push-button controls, while traditional knob gear stick in 2017 Ridgeline is the main difference between the two interiors.
The cabin is very spacious and offers a lot of space.
2017 Honda Ridgeline Engine
Well, beside the similar interior, Pilot and Ridgeline have more similarities. Yes, that’s correct – the engine. Under the hood is 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 with dual injection. The engine is paired with a six speed automatic transmission.
There are no official engine specs but we can expect similar power rates as for the Pilot – 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.
2017 Honde Ridgeline Price, Release date
The same as with the engines, there are no information regarding the price. As the release date is getting closer (mass production has started and the vehicles are expected to hit dealerships in Spring 2016) we will know exact prices. For now, we can only guess that they will start from around $35,000.
