Refreshed 2016 Toyota Avalon has been unveiled at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The new Avalon is simply that – refreshed, with no major changes. Some flaws were fixed, that’s true, but it looks like the manufacturer is certain that Avalon can’t compete with Chevy Impala when it comes to the number of sold units. The card on which will Toyota Avalon 2016 play is well-known reliability and small changes in design.
2016 Toyota Avalon Engine, HP, torque
Toyota didn’t mention anything regarding the drivetrain, so everyone assumes that the engine inside of the 2016 Avalon will be the same 3.5-liter V-6 which powers the 2015 model. This engine delivers 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque and it’s paired with six-speed automatic transmission.
2016 Toyota Avalon Exterior
These minor updates on 2016 Toyota Avalon, we already mentioned, include refreshed front and rear apron. In front lower grille is larger, making upper look a bit squeezed. The front also features redesigned turn signals and overall it looks a bit more aggressive and sportier. Around back, we can see chrome accent on the bumper and slightly restyled taillights.
The Touring trim features LED headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights and a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.
2016 Toyota Avalon Interior
The interior of the 2016 Toyota Avalon received light gray interior with gray accent stitchings, while higher trims feature woodgrain accents and standard 7-inch Entune screen. The interior of this and the previous model look exactly the same which is a good thing considering Avalon always had top of the class interior.
2016 Toyota Avalon Price
We don’t expect major changes in price also. The 2015 model starts at around $32,000 while 2016 Toyota Avalon price could start just a bit higher.
In some way, it’s maybe good that Avalon didn’t go through more serious updates. The style is updated and the car itself kept its main feature – reliability. Toyota‘s slogan “Let’s go places” surely stands for this model.
