2016 Hyundai Tucson Review, Redesign, Specs and Prices

With the new 2016 Hyundai Tucson, the manufacturer started the third generation of this vehicle which was presented at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The very first model of this car was published back in 2004 and it was named after the city in Arizona. Some of the previous models were also named Hyundai ix (South Korea) and Hyundai ix35 (Columbia) but this time, the name Tucson will be the same on all markets.

2016 Hyundai Tucson Engine

For the 2016 Hyundai Tucson SUV, customers will have a choice between two gasoline and three diesel engines. The first one is 1.6 liter GDI gasoline engine which is paired with six speed manual transmission and it will deliver 133 horsepower, while the second one is more powerful 1.6 liter T-GDI engine which will produce 175 horsepower. Another difference between the two is that the second comes with a choice between six-speed manual or a seven speed dual clutch transmission. Diesel engines available are 1) 1.7 liter engine with output of 115 horsepower and six speed manual transmission, 2) 2.0 liter standard power with 134 horsepower and six speed manual or seven speed dual clutch 3) 2.0 liter high power with 181 HP and the same choice of transmission as the previous one.

The new Hyundai Tucson 2016 exterior comes with completely updated, which will make this car even more elegant. Its front end comes with new hexagonal grille with three bars and company’s logo while lower apron now has horizontal fog lights. Besides fog lights, new LED headlights help too in getting wider look, altogether making front looking very aggressive. Around back Tucson‘s tailgate is a bit lower and taillights are redesigned.

2016 Hyundai Tucson Interior

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson interior also went through lots of changes and updates. It is covered in high quality materials, specifically SE, ECO and Sport trims offer Black, Gray, and Beige cloth, while the interior of the Limited trim offers Black or Beige leather. New dashboard features touchscreen with winged-like metal frame which includes air vents. The cabin also features a new steering wheel with mounted controls. We expect more interior details to be revealed soon, but for sure we can tell that it won’t leave anyone indifferent and that it will please everyone’s needs (at least some of them).
