The new 2016 Ford Focus RS will come seriously updated to markets around the globe. The first Focus RS (Rallye Sport) was unveiled by Ford back in 2002, but several years after, it got its recognizable race styling, which is on the new model even more pronounced. Exterior updates make the new Focus RS look even sportier, while the new power figures will make you take it out to the track the same moment you bought it.
2016 Ford Focus RS Specs, Engine, AWD
The new 2016 Ford Focus RS will be powered by turbocharged 2.3 liter EcoBoost four cylinder engine which is now tuned to deliver amazing 315 horsepower and 324 lb-ft torque.
Also, another novelty is all-wheel-drive system, which can send 70% of available torque to the rear. The system is based on twin electronically controlled clutch packs on each side of the rear drive unit and as Ford says: “These manage the car’s front/rear torque split, and can control the side-to-side torque distribution on the rear axle – delivering the “torque vectoring” capability that has a dramatic impact on handling and cornering stability.”
