In an attempt to make it up for all previous mistakes, the new 2016 Cadillac ELR is coming with several serious updates for the upcoming year. The updates include additional standard equipment, more power and improved handling, but the big question is, will this be enough?

On electric drive alone, it will go for 39 miles with a single charge, while combined and with range extender the 2016 Cadillac ELR range is 330 miles. Also, Regen-on-demand technology is improved and Cadillac says: “With Cadillac’s Regen on Demand, you can easily take a more active role in your energy savings. When you lift your foot from the accelerator and engage the dual-side paddle controls located behind the steering wheel, energy that would otherwise be lost in deceleration is channeled to the battery. It’s essentially “regeneration on demand.” This advanced technology is especially valuable during stop-and-go traffic, helping your battery remain charged even longer than normal.”
2016 Cadillac ELR Interior
The Cadillac ELR 2016 interior is very similar to the previous model which was nicely designed and very well equipped, but the manufacturer decided to add even more features inside, including OnStar with 4G LTE, which automatically activates the WiFi hotspot when the car is turned on and supports up to seven devices.
Three interior color themes and materials are available to choose from – Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Leather-appointed seats; Light Cashmere with Medium Cashmere accents, Leather-appointed seats; Kona Brown with Jet Black accents, Semi-Aniline Full Leather seats (for additional $2,450).
