Finally. After 25 years of waiting, Buick will offer a convertible model to the US buyers. The 2016 Buick Cascada won’t be made to compete with sports cars, it’ll be a more relaxed version, but what’s even more important – it’ll be available at very affordable price and it will offer pleasant driving experience.
2016 Buick Cascada Interior and Exterior
On the front of the 2016 Buick Cascada are waterfall grille and wing shaped LED headlights, while around back it features taillights, connected with chrome strip and a single stainless steel exhaust tip below. This model will stand on 20 inch aluminum wheels and according to the manufacturer it will offer very quiet ride no matter its open top. The rooftop will take 17 seconds to open at up to 31 miles per hour.
Available colors for Buick Cascada 2016 are: Graystone Metallic, Summit White, Flip Chip Silver Metallic, Deep Sky Metallic, Toasted Coconut Metallic and Carbon Black Metallic.
The 2016 Buick Cascada interior offers two rows of seats for four passengers and it’s packed with technology. The instrument panel is covered in soft touch materials, seats are leather wrapped while front ones and steering wheel are heated. Furthermore, for cold conditions, cabin is packed with dual zone climate control. The interior of the 2016 Buick Cascada also offers a lot of storage space – with the top up it offers 13.4 cubic feet of cargo room while with the top down it offers 9.8 cu-ft. The rear seats are foldable electronically, so longer items can be placed easily. Technologies inside offer OnStar 4G LTE, Buick Intellilink with seven inch touchscreen, navigation and much more.
2016 Buick Cascada Engine and Performance
The new Cascada will be powered by 1.6L turbocharged engine which will deliver 200 horsepower, 206 lb-ft of torque and it will be paired with six speed automatic transmission. The new HiPer Strut suspension, which is based on MacPherson strut design, will enhance driving and improve handling.
2016 Buick Cascada Release Date and Price
The 2016 Buick Cascada will arrive at the beginning of next year, prices are not yet announced and official presentation will take place at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
Overall, we can say that among all new convertible cars for 2016, Buick Cascada won’t be exactly the most exciting one to drive. However, this car could mark the return of convertible Buick to the US and if it wants to take a serious place among the competition, the manufacturer should put more effort in development, despite Cascada’s very nice design and roominess.
