The new 2015 Volkswagen Golf R is still praised at any step, either by its manufacturer or by car experts world wide. Although very nicely designed, there are no major changes, and so this new VW will attract both younger and more mature customers. The story is a bit different when it comes to engine and overall performance – it’s awesome.

The front end of the Volkswagen Golf R 2015 features a new bumper with air intakes for improved cooling of the engine, redesigned grille and new LED headlights, giving overall aggressive but slick appearance. Around back, two pairs of chromed exhaust pipes and an R diffuser will grab your attention. So far, we are not sure will there be an option regarding optional sunroof.

2015 Volkswagen Golf R Engine, 0-60, MPG
Under the hood of 2015 Volkswagen Golf R is turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-4 engine which generates 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes along with 6 speed DSG automatic transmission and 4MOTION all wheel drive. According to VW, six speed manual transmission is coming soon.
And what to say about the performance? Maybe these figures will help. It took eight minutes and eleven seconds to finish Nurburgring and to reach 0-60 miles per hour , the new Volkswagen Golf R needs 4.9 seconds. The fuel economy is estimated at 23 miles per gallon in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
2015 Volkswagen Golf R Price
If you are reading this before January 8th, you might be lucky. On January 8th, VW will accept pre-orders for the first 500 2015 Volkswagen Golf R units made. It will come with all equipment mentioned above, Lapiz Blue Metallic paint, 19 inch wheels, Fender audio system while six speed dual clutch transmission is the only difference. The price of this model is $39,090 (delivery fee of $820 is not included) and for starters, you just need to pay a $500 reservation fee. Refund is available for everyone who wants to give up on buying.
MSRP for regular models will be $36,595.
